The money arrives. The access does not.
Razorpay already collects for you. Nothing tells Substack. Merova joins the two so paid access is granted, and renewed, on its own.
What happens today
Collecting the money was never the hard part. Razorpay will do that for you, by payment link or by subscription link, straight from the dashboard.
- A reader pays through your link. Razorpay confirms it.
- Substack knows nothing about it. The post is still locked.
- You open Substack and comp that reader by hand.
- The comp has an expiry date on it. It runs out.
- Every cycle you check the register, work out whose access lapsed, and comp them again. For every subscriber.
The failure is silent. A reader whose comp expired is still being charged and can no longer read, and nothing tells you. You find out when they email, or when they cancel without saying why.

A reader pays by UPI or card and access is granted for exactly the period they paid for. On renewal it extends itself. No register to watch.
The money never touches us
Merova never holds, routes or settles money. Each publisher connects their own payment account, and funds move from their reader to that account and on to their own bank. Merova is software that grants access after a payment. It is not a payment service and does not act as an intermediary for funds.
What your reader sees
Every publication gets its own subscribe page carrying your business details, your contact information, your terms and your cancellation policy. On that page you are the seller, not us. The price, the renewal date and the cancellation route are stated before anyone pays.
